He was the ROH Tag Team Champion a record 13 times until his untimely death in a vehicle crash. It was reported that the event took place in Laurel, Maryland. Two persons were killed in a car crash on Tuesday night near Laurel, according to the Delaware State Police. When Jay Briscoe passed away, Ringside News reported more details. According to the story, a female passenger in a different vehicle was also killed at the same moment. The Briscoe Brothers are widely considered to be ROH’s greatest tag team in the company’s history. Thirteen times, spanning a record 1,413 days, the Briscoe Brothers were ROH World Tag Team Champions.
